Learn how to design a kitchen garden that is both productive and beautiful, with author and garden designer, Ellen Ecker Ogden. In this three hour garden tour and class, you will learn the six steps to successful vegetable garden design that will elevate any ordinary vegetable garden into extraordinary.

Through visits to Ellen’s home garden, plus two others nearby, you will take home ideas for layout and design, what to plant, and soil health for a no-till garden. Starting at Turkey Hill Farm in Manchester, to view a classic kitchen garden that is both productive and beautiful. Next, we travel to nearby Hildene and the Dene farm to see how they integrate an agriculture landscape with organic garden practices. The final destination is Ellen’s kitchen garden in the heart of Manchester Village, a small potager set on .24 acre that has inspired her to write several books on garden design, including her most recent, The New Heirloom Garden.
