Join Bread Loaf View Farm for their annual Maple Open House Weekend event on the farm!
They have their Maple Museum jammed pack full of historical maple displays and an added focus on how their ancestors used wood to shape their lives. You’ll be amazed at the ingenuity and learn firsthand how the forest provided raw materials for the early pioneers.
Learn about some ongoing research taken place on their farm pertaining to the Winter Firefly. Greg Pask from Middlebury College will showcase this unique insect and the discovery’s he’s made about its life cycle.
The sugarhouse doors are open and they will be turning raw sap into golden maple syrup right before your eyes.
An added feature this year is So-Full Sisters food truck offering an array of food items with a maple theme.
Don’t forget to explore the Sugarwoods trail system and view the sap collection as it happens. Bring your family and friends for a unique farm experience. Pets are welcome on a leash.
