Join the Norwich Historical Society by bicycle or car for a tour through some of Norwich’s most scenic landscapes. The tour will take you to farmstands and historic hill farms where you can enjoy seeing farm animals, learning about the harvest, and peak inside some barns.
A map, history podcast, and pop-up exhibits of historic photographs at the farms will provide you with stories about Norwich’s agricultural heritage while on your tour.
Purchase a localvore box lunch picnic for after your tour or picnic in a scenic hayfield high in the hills overlooking the farm valley.
Bicycle check-in: Sign-in and begin riding any time between 8:30 and 10am
- Bicyclists have the choice of two routes: The shorter route is 11 miles on pavement with 1,070′ elevation gain; the longer route is 17.8 miles on paved and packed dirt roads with 938′ elevation gain.
Automobile check-in: Sign-in and begin the tour any time between 10am and 1pm; Route closes at 3:30 pm
