March means maple sugaring time! Visit Shelburne Farms for a guided journey from sap to syrup. Head into the sugarbush to see a sugarhouse in action, check out a sugarmaker’s tools, tap a sugar maple, and (of course!) taste some delicious maple syrup. You'll discover who-whooooo lives in the sugarbush with Outreach For Earth Stewardship and a live owl ambassador. Also, Roland Bluto of the Nulhegan Band of the Coosuk-Abenaki Nation will be sharing a story of how the Abenaki came to acquire maple syrup.
This program is for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Get on the waitlist for March 19th or hurry to register for March 26th! $5 registration fee.
