Join Elmore Roots in a walk through their beautiful groves of black walnut and pears, kiwiberry vines and currant patches. The Elmore crew has been lovingly caring for this food forest for over forty years, and it has become a sanctuary for birds and other wildlife. So stay a while, and enjoy a little nature walk!
Food forest walks will be held the following days during Open Farm Week:
- Aug 4, 6, 8, 9, 11
Stop by any of these days to discover the groves. Donations are happily accepted and will go towards local community food growing projects.
*Tip for arriving to Elmore Roots: The easiest way is off of Route 12 in Elmore.

Elmore Roots' dedicated crew of fruit loving people has been caring for their food forest for over forty years. Walk their trails and see nuts and fruits and berries and native shrubs and trees growing that you did not know could grow in northern Vermont and see how happy it makes the birds and other wildlife! Regular hours 10:00am - 5:00pm on Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sun.
