Are you curious about what it takes to process farm raised poultry? Do you want some processing tips & practice or perhaps you just want to be more intimately involved in bringing your food from the field to your table. You can join Green Mountain Girls Farm for a hands-on Turkey Processing workshop. They will walk you through each step with some of their pasture-raised turkeys, getting them ready for holiday meals (or summer delights). You can sign up either to just watch & listen or for a full hands-on experience. If you’d like you can process the turkey you’ll bring home to eat fresh or pop into your freezer for the holidays. [Turkeys processed by our farm team will also be available].

Cost:

  • $20 per person to watch & listen (+ 15% discount on a fresh turkey!)
  • $40 per person for hands-on participation (+ 15% discount on a fresh turkey!)

Prior registration is required and there are limited spaces available. A link will be up soon!

Created in 2009, Green Mountain Girls Farm is steeped in the rich culture of Vermont's working landscape. Regenerative practices aim to grow food in ways that capture the greatest potential of the sun, rain and natural systems, while enhancing food quality, plant health, soil life and ecosystems. The farm employs low-till and permaculture farming techniques to feed regenivores and regenitarians who seek out meat from pigs, poultry, and small ruminants raised in intentional grazing systems. They also host tours; farm experiences and stays as well as farm-to-table meals. Customers and guests choose Green Mountain Girls Farm because they want their food and tourism choices to support social and ecological health. They satiate their senses, satisfy their quest for connection, and deepen their appreciation of Vermont and small family farms everywhere.
