Celebrate Local Motion's 25th Anniversary (in other words, Quarter Century!) on bike and foot. Join on August 11 for a ride, a walk, or just to party! In an effort to bring as many people together as possible, the vineyard is offering several options for this event. Riders and walkers may start from Snow Farm Vineyards or Local Motion. For anyone planning to drive to the start, please park at Snow Farm Vineyards and choose the southbound routes. For those with riding from home or taking transit, start from Local Motion and head north. And for those farther away, you may also choose to join “virtually” by creating your own route from home! Party afterwards at Snow Farm Vineyards & Winery!

Open to everyone, participants or no! If you are unable to come for a ride or walk, you are still welcome to come to Snow Farm Vineyards for the party. The band Smoky Newfield Project will be playing from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Two food trucks will be onsite. Parking Lot Pizza and Green Mountain Smoothies. Riders starting in South Hero will end their ride at the party, while riders starting in Burlington will be joining the party at the midpoint of their ride.

Cost is $25 to register for the ride, and free to come to the party. Please register if you wish to ride!

Money goes to supporting Local Motion's mission to make it safe, accessible, and fun for everyone to bike, walk, and roll in Vermont. Create a team with your friends, coworkers, teammates, or participate alone to claim all the fundraising glory.

Local Motion Address: 1 Steele St #103, Burlington, VT 05401

The local motion ride is being hosted during Open Farm week to encourage folks to visit the farm and support the cause.

____

Snow Farm Vineyard has been growing grapes in the Champlain Islands since 1997. Using these grapes they make wine and distilled products from the land. Incorporating our maple sugaring operation, island raspberries, juniper berries and more into our products.

Local Motion was founded in 1999 with a singular (and improbable) goal: to get people on bikes across the mouth of the Winooski River, where the Burlington Bike Path then came to an end. Since then, they have grown to become Vermont's statewide advocate for active transportation, vibrant communities, and safe streets. Their mission is simple: Making it safe, accessible, and fun for everyone to bike, walk, and roll in Vermont.
