Terry’s Orchard has been in continuous cultivation since 1776. Its founders, the Harwood family, developed the orchard and accompanying cider business as a family operation, continuing through four generations for 182 years. Today, the fourth owners of the trees on “Apple Hill” continue the legacy of the family run orchard. During apple season, pick with family and friends to experience the novelty of walking through this historic orchard, picturesquely set atop Harwood Hill, overlooking the valley of Bennington and the Bennington monument. During fall foliage, the view from the orchard is a sight to behold. The Howe family, the orchard's current owners, believes that a pick-your-own orchard is an important part of a community, as it offers a way for people to meet their farmers and experience the joy of harvesting fruit right form the tree!
