If you’ve ever been interested in making your own beer, it’s easier than you think! In this class they’ll walk through the basics of brewing beer and cover various ways of making, fermenting, and packaging your homebrew. The first part of the session will be a presentation and discussion, then you'll examine common beer making equipment, some of which you likely already have around the house!
This class will be led by Rob Friesel, a veteran homebrewer, BJCP Certified beer judge and Certified Cicerone (the beer equivalent of a wine sommelier), head of beer curriculum at Black Flannel Brewing, and member of the Green Mountain Mashers. Assisting him is Jeff Simonds, the current president of the Green Mountain Mashers and long-time homebrewer. This class will be held in the Community Room of the South End City Market location.
