The restaurant at the Shelburne Farms Inn is one of Vermont’s pioneering farm to table restaurants, with a menu built around what’s being harvested at theirs and other Vermont farms on any given day or week. Staples like fresh vegetables and fruits from their Market Garden, farmstead cheddar, seasonal lamb and beef, and other farm products from their working farm campus are featured items.
Shelburne Farms Inn was originally the 19th-century country estate home of Dr. William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb. It was transformed and opened to the public in 1987 as an historic Inn and integral part of the nonprofit Shelburne Farms. Today it serves as an inspiring place to stay and learn, whether at the Inn itself or in one of its several guesthouses. Proceeds from the Inn support the education mission of Shelburne Farms.
