Backwoods Alchemy Maple Farm is proud to be family owned and operated. After lying dormant for several decades, they reactivated their sugarbush in 2005. Since then, the family has reconvened in Vermont from all over the country for the common goal of harvesting the state's "liquid gold." Backwoods Alchemy embraces the myriad of challenges involved in producing syrup in the spring and maintaining infrastructure throughout the other seasons to continue this fine tradition, carrying on into the 21st century. In addition to organic certification, Backwoods Alchemy is proud to have also received the Bird Friendly Sugarbush certification from Audubon Vermont.
Since 1953, sugarmakers at Bourdon Maple Farm have worked hard to carry on one of Vermont's most longstanding traditions, utilizing natural forest resources and working with the seasons to produce pure organic Vermont maple syrup.
A small diversified farm located in Brookfield, VT that focuses on making non-cane sugar sweeteners - plus lip balm, shea butter skin therapy and candles. In fall and spring they create boiled cider and maple syrup.
Harlow's Sugar House is a family-owned maple business, as well as an orchard featuring apples and other fruits. Their gift shop boasts their farm-grown products including donuts, cider, maple syrup, cream, and candy, as well as other locally made gifts and goodies.
Under Orion Farm is a diversified production farm with 250 acres that have been in agriculture for centuries. Today, these acres include pasture for grazing cattle, organic hay fields, organic vegetable production, sugar woods, 140 acres of forest, and a sawmill. Under Orion sells maple syrup, pastured beef, certified organic hay, native lumber, and provides custom sawmill services.
